DT Philly Updates
We enjoyed Saturday's training and program launch at Drexel with a great group of teachers from the Arthur, Key, Longstreth, Mitchell and Southwark schools. Many thanks to Jon Coddington of Drexel and Nathan Gasser of Rock River Star for their support of our newest initiative. And congratulations to the Southwark team for being the first to log in and begin their start-up activities!
Congratulations to KCAPA, the Penn Treaty Seekers of Truth, and the MLK Cougar Conservationists for reaching the 100 point mark. We'll be delivering your Philly-themed snack packs for an upcoming team meeting soon! We'd also like to congratulate T.A.A.G. at Edison as well as KCAPA for being the top badge earners to date, and a big thank you to all of our student design teams for generously...Read More
We came across this former Nightline episode which follows an IDEO team as they rethink the shopping cart in just five days. Hey DT Philly teams! We're excited about your projects and ideas, and we can't wait to see your next steps. Keep up the good work and reach the 100 point mark by December 24 to win a Philly snack pack for one of your January team meetings! Check your progress report from yesterday's DT Philly meeting to see how you can earn this bonus for your team.

Congratulations to the All-Starz from Kensington International Business High School for finishing their start-up activities and becoming the first team to earn a piece of the puzzle!
We heard some interesting ideas and perspectives yesterday as the KCAPA design team discussed a variety of challenges and then narrowed their focus to one for their DT Philly Challenge project. For teams that haven't already done so, it's time to upload your "empathy" stage work including your images of good design, your list of design challenges, and your first take on your design problem...Read More
KCAPA didn't waste any time earning their first badge by inviting architect Zach Newhard to their school to meet the team and talk about his work. Many thanks to Zach for taking the time to share his knowledge and experience!
