We're now accepting applications for our kindergarten to 5th grade programs! Welcome in 2018 and beat the winter doldrums with a creative and hands-on learning initiative for your students. DT Philly is a free program that introduces teachers and students to a design-based approach to problem solving by guiding them through a creative and engaging project of their choice. In this way, DT Philly helps students connect what they're doing in school to the world around them. DT Philly can also be used to facilitate project-based learning and STEM programming. This year's K-2 and 3rd-5th grade programs kick off with teacher training on January 6 and wrap up before spring break when teams submit digital stories of their projects for review by a design jury. We've structured the program to be flexible so teachers can use it in ways that meet their needs. For example, it can run as part of a class or as an extracurricular activity, with students working in small teams facilitated by the teacher. We provide the training, the curriculum and supply kit(s), and ongoing feedback and support. Questions? We'd love to hear from you.
