June 8 was a day for inspiring stories as ShopRite hosted its annual charity luncheon at the ShopRite LPGA Classic and distributed grants totaling $1.4 million. The ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer takes place at the Stockton Seaview Resort in Galloway, New Jersey and showcases some of the best female golfers in the world while also putting the spotlight on community. Speakers from several of the 43 grant recipients shared the compelling work they do in areas such as feeding the hungry and providing critical medical care to cancer patients. “No cause too small, no challenge too great,” said ShopRite owner Melissa Buonadonna, summing up the company’s commitment to serve. “ShopRite’s commitment to the community is unparalleled on the LPGA circuit,” said Tim Erensen, the tournament’s Executive Director. “This is an amazing example of what can be accomplished and we’re extremely proud to be associated with the huge charitable impact that ShopRite has on our region.” The tournament has generated $35 million in charitable donations since partnering with ShopRite in 1992, and Compete 360 is honored to be one of ShopRite’s grant recipients this year.
